PONTOTOC – Helen Avery Pate, 11, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2020 at her home in Pontotoc. Avery was a happy, loving child who was loved by everyone who ever met her. She was blessed to have loving parents and a bonus father. Avery has two siblings, Ethan and Bella. Avery enjoyed glow sticks, balloons, and all things that she could take apart.
She is survived by her mother, Brandy Kay Sanders; stepfather, John T. Sanders; father, Philip Pate; maternal grandmother, Tammy Swanson Jones; Aunt Hannah Swanson Cowart(Gerald) and family; Aunt Chanda Mercer and family; Aunt Lacey Holland Fleeman(Patrick) and family; Aunt Dee Gardener Mazahreh(Laith) and family; Aunt Sierra Henry and family; Uncle Matthew Kooshad(Wenlu) and family; close family friend, Steven Dobbs; and many cousins and close family members.
She is preceded in death by her great grandparents, Harrison and Helen Swanson; grandmother, Mary Margaret Vanscoy and Uncle Drew Mercer.
Services will be Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at 6PM at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc, with visitation beginning at 3PM.
