Robert Wayne Harrison

Robert Wayne Harrison, 75 of Bruce, Mississippi passed from this life on Wednesday, January 15, 2020, at Diversicare in Eupora, Mississippi. Born on October 2, 1944 in Coffeeville, Mississippi, Robert was the son of the late Faye Harrison Allred.

Robert, Private First Class, fought to protect his beloved country’s safety and freedom during the Vietnam conflict. With a love for the outdoors, Robert was a true sportsman that had a passion for deer hunting and crappie fishing. Not only did he enjoy patently waiting for a deer or fish, but  Robert was also an expert in cultivating a bountiful vegetable garden. Robert lived upon the level and by the square as member of the Bruce Masonic Lodge. He was a proud veteran and member of the American Legion.

Surviving are his loving wife Nancy Hall Harrison brothers, James Allred of Maben, MS, E.B. Allred of Bellefontaine, MS and Anthony Allred of Pontotoc, MS, sisters, Joan Allred of Derma, MS and Brenda Allred of Calhoun City, MS, Step-Daughter, Kathy Zamaron of Pearland, TX, Grandchildren, Joshua Calderon (Kayla) Pontotoc and Derek Zamarron (Pricilla) of Pearland, TX ; 3 great grand children.

He was predeceased by a son, Jason Wayne Harrison, Mother, Faye Harrison Allred, and a  Step Daughter, Sherri Allred.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 18, 2020 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce. A graveside service will take place at 2:00 P.M in Nacogdoches, Texas at Rock Springs Cemetery with Bro. Jerry Prritte proving words of comfort.
