Terry Alford Fleming

Kirkville-Terry Fleming 71, passed away at his home on Sunday, April 05, 2026 after an extended illness. Terry was born on January/11/1955 to James and Lurie Fleming in Memphis, TN. After attending Southaven High School he enrolled in the Army National Guard. He retired from Jesco Inc/Cooper Tire after many years of maintenance work of repairing machines, electrical work and mechanical work there, where he had obtained degrees in these areas also. He was often referred to as a MacGyver of his time due to his ability to fix and work on almost any mechanical or electrical problem. After his retirement from Jesco, he purchased and operated his own trucking company, where he made deliveries to many different areas in the U.S. He was an avid fisherman and spent many hours on the water in his boat, “the catfish hotel”, where he was skilled In inventing his own bait and catching many different species of fish.

He met his wife of 44 years during his employment at Pepsi-Cola, where he was installing a new scoreboard in the basketball gym at Jumpertown School. They had three children, April, Matt and Misty and resided in the Kirkville community.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Dot Fleming; parents, James and Lurie Fleming; his father and mother-in-law,Dennis and Inez Criswell; sister-in-law, Shelia Fleming and brother-in-laws, Jerry Young, Bruce and Danny Criswell.

He is survived by his children, April Johnson (Jason), Misty Fleming and Matt Fleming; grandchildren, Mason Johnson, Chandler Johnson, Maddi and Paden Fleming, Eli and Izaiah Luebanos; sister, Judy Carol Brister (Larry); brother, Robbie Fleming ; sister-in-laws, Jo Young and Judy Holley(Ronnie) and many nieces and nephews that he loved.

Funeral services will be held at Waters Funeral Home in Baldwyn on Thursday, April 09, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Bill Adams officiating. Graveside services will follow at Kirkville Cemetery following the service at the funeral home.

Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Mason Johnson, Chandler Johnson, Paden Fleming, Michael Taylor, Rickey Dale Fleming, Jerry Lee Fleming and Don Fleming.

Honorary pallbearers are his special friends, Terry Dale Roberts and Ronnie Holley
