Luther David Hamblin ( Pops )
Belden-Luther David Hamblin, 72, passed away at the NMMC Hospice, Saturday July 18, 2026 after an extended illness. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, family and friends. He enjoyed fishing & camping also eating Randle & Roberts cooking. Pops loved watching WWE, Ole Miss football along with Nascar. Pops loved watching Price is Right, heat of the night and cops with his wife. He was a member of The Heavens Gate Apostolic Church.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 AM at Waters Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Hamblin officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife Carolyn Hamblin of Belden, Daughters; Angie Hamblin of Belden, Tonya Dillard & Billy of Okolona, April Whitten & Myles of Belden and Amanda Griffin & D. J. of Nettleton, Sons, Robert Hamblin & Maria of Houlka and Randle Hamblin & Nikki of Sherman, sisters, Dianne (Sissy) & Dan Dan of Hernando and Pat Moody & Robert of Myrtle, special Niece Paula Thomas & James, special Nephew James West & Emily, 21 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther R. & Pauline Thomas Hamblin, daughter, Rebecca Lynn Hamblin, brothers, James and Tom Hamblin and a sister, Linda Jackson Hamblin.
Pallbearers will be James West, Bryan Wray, Randle Hamblin, Paula Thomas, Katlin Hamblin and Robert Hamblin.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jason, James, D J and Myles.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5-8 pm at Waters Funeral Home and 1 hour before service time on Wednesday.
