Amanda Kay Clayton, 41, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at her residence on the night of May 12, 2020. She was born on March 26, 1979 at NMMC in Tupelo, MS.
Amanda loved going to church, doing drama, camping, and spending time with her family. She loved her family more than anything in the world. She also dearly loved her church family and close friend, Bob Angle. Bob was her youth pastor at her old church, Lakeside Church, where she attended as a teenager. Amanda never met a stranger and simply loved everyone she crossed paths with throughout her time on Earth. She was a Godly woman and her family takes comfort in knowing she is in the arms of her loving Savior, Jesus Christ. She was currently a member of a wonderful church with Pastor Jeff Martin and Assistant Pastor Justin Dykes. Amanda was a kind, sweet woman who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Amanda is survived by her husband of 23 years, Jerald Clayton JR; sons, Jerald Clayton (Jessica), of Nettleton, Danny Clayton (Tamra), of Tory; granddaughter, Hadley Ranie Clayton; daughters, Maggie Clayton and Serenity Crossen of Nettleton; grandsons, Carter and Maddox; nieces, Santana and Breanna Nicholson of Mooreville; brother, Danny “Buster” Nicholson (Christy) of Mooreville; and mother, Janie Dyson of Iowa; and great niece, Raeleigh Nicholson.
