Daniel Everette Methvin

Daniel Everette Methvin, age 85, of Somerville, TN died Friday, May 15, 2020, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, TN. He was born September 8, 1934, in Drew, MS to the late David and Sara (Miles) Methvin. Daniel had worked in facilities maintenance for the North Mississippi Regional Center in Oxford, MS. Daniel had many interests which included fishing, woodworking, working on old cars, crossword puzzles, learning about his ancestry, and reading the Bible. Before leaving the area, Daniel was a member of Campground Baptist Church.

A “Drive by” visitation is planned for Monday, May 18, 2020, at Seven Oaks Funeral Home from 11:00 AM until 12:00 Noon. A private family service will begin at Noon in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Bro. David Heg officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Daniel is survived by four sons, Donald Methvin (Tina) of Somerville, TN, Ronald Methvin of Water Valley, MS, Daniel Methvin, and Robert Methvin all of Meriden, CT; four daughters, Christie Loveless (Deion) of Woodland, AL, Dorothy Santor of Belgrade, MT, Tammy Methvin of Meridan, CT, Bonnie Baillaregeon of East Hampton, CT; six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

Along with his parents, Daniel was preceded in death by three brothers, Orlen Methvin, James Methvin, Robert Methvin; two sisters, Sarah Methvin, Nanna Methvin; one son, David Methvin; and one daughter, Lisa Methvin.
