David Garcia

David Garcia, 59, passed away Saturday, June 6, 2020, at home in Booneville. He was born in Gary, IN, on November 25, 1960, to Manuel Garcia and Rita Garcia-Ortiz. He enjoyed antique car restoration, house reconstruction, attending and watching car shows. He loved to listen to salsa and country music, camping, and boating. He was very dedicated to his family.
Funeral service will be 6:00 PM Thursday, June 11, 2020, at Booneville Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Garcia and Rev. Juaquin Rodriguez officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until service time at the funeral home. Booneville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Anita Joann Garcia; step-daughter, Becky Gardner (Vic) of Booneville; brothers, Jose H. Garcia of Lake Station, IN, and Jerry Garcia (Wilma) of Port Charlotte, FL; sisters, Olga Mendez of Interlachen, FL, Angelica Martinez (Jose) of Gary, IN, Aida Martinez (Juan) of Port Charlotte, FL, Emily Sanchez (Hector) of Hartsville, SC, Rita Yolanda Hernandez of Port Charlotte, FL, Rosa Rodriguez (Juaquin) of Hobart, IN, and Carmen Vega (Jesse) of Stella, NC; step-granddaughters, Alexa M. Smith, Breanna V. Gardner; step-great-granddaughter, Marci J. Smith; step-great-grandson, Montavious Smith, all of Booneville; sisters-in-law, Lydia Garcia and Connie Garcia; brother-in-law, George Padilla; and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Miguel Garcia and Manuel Garcia; a sister, Esther Padilla; and two brothers-in-law, Aracelio Hernandez and Jose Mendez.
