Mrs. Mary E. Bradley, 72, transitioned on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at Union County Health & Rehabilitation in New Albany, MS. Mary Elizabeth Hayes Bradley was born September 7, 1947 to the late A.D. McKinley and Jimmie Hayes of Scobey, Mississippi.
She attended school at Walker High School in Oakland, MS. Mary was a graduate of Mississippi Valley State University, where she met her husband; Willie Joe Bradley. They were united in marriage, December 25, 1968 and moved to New Albany, MS. Their union produced four sons.
Sister Bradley was a member of the Highway 178 Church of Christ. She loved the Brothers and Sisters of her congregation. She worked tirelessly with them on many church programs and community efforts. She believed in always keeping busy and doing the work of the Lord.
Mary E. Bradley retired as the Center Administrator of Union County/New Albany Head Start after over forty years of dedicated service. In her profession, she touched the lives of many co-workers and children in Union county and the surrounding areas. She had a great love and passion for educating children and encouraging their parents. Her influence impacted the lives of many. Her service will never be forgotten.
To celebrate her glorious legacy she leaves her husband of 50 years; Willie J. Bradley of New Albany, MS, four sons; Willie A. Bradley, Marcus Bradley (Hope), Derek O. Bradley (Jessica) and Christopher S. Bradley all of New Albany, MS, two daughters; Helen Sneed and Aretha McAlister of Tupelo, MS, twenty-three grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren, one brother; Bennie Drinkwater of St. Louis, MO, five nieces, other relatives and many friends.
Preceding her and awaiting her arrival into eternity are her father, mother and two sisters.
