Sherry Lockridge was born March 31,
1961 in Lee County, MS to Robert Grayson
and the late Mary Ethel Taylor. She
departed this earthly life to be with God on
July 6, 202 at North MS Medical Center in
Tupelo, MS.
She accepted Christ at an early age and
became a member at Blackland M.B. Church
under the leadership of Rev. Earlie Eddie.
She received her high school diploma at
Tupelo High School. She went on and
received her Bachelor and Master’s Degree
in Nursing. She received her degrees from
Mississippi University for Women, and
Western Governor’s University.
She worked at Methodist Healthcare as a
registered Nurse until her death. She was a
devoted sister, mother, grandmother and
great grandmother. She loved all of her
children with her whole heart.
Her beautiful life will be forever cherished
by the lives of her family: her father: Robert
(Joan) Grayson; (3) brothers: Jerry
Lockridge, Frederick (Therray) Taylor and
Robert Shackelford; (4) sisters: Carolyn
Lockridge, Traci Taylor, Brenda Spurgon
and Michelle Grayson; (1) son: Christopher
Lockridge (Tiffney Lockridge); (5)
daughters: Taquesha Moton (Jason Moton),
Yasha Lockridge, Formeeka Lockridge,
Forsheea Lockridge and TeAerra Lockridge;
(10) grandchildren: Xavius, Dejajuan,
Keondra, Ashton, Andre Jr., Joydan,
Christiana, Moriyah, Jerehmi, and Bella
Rose; (4) great-grandchildren: Armoni,
Braylon, Kori and Taylor; nieces and
nephews she raised: D.J., Latoya,
LaShunda, Bodarius, Fredrick, Kaaliyah,
Kierra and Dasha. She also had children
that came into her life and she loved them
as well: Skylar, Mia, Cameron, Baliegh and
Skyller and her uncle: Earnest Lee
Lockridge.
She is preceded in death by her oldest
grandson: Toyrriius Lockridge, her mother:
Mary Ethel Taylor, uncle: Harry Lockridge,
great aunt: Burma Lockridge and niece:
Hazel .

Hello Lockrigde family, I am deeply sorry for your loss. Losing a loved one can be very difficult so I would like to share an encouraging scripture. It is found at Acts 24:15 which says, “15 And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.
