Donald Chester Hackathorn

Donald Hackathorn 84 years, 4 months, and 30 days old, died Wednesday, August 19, 2020, at Baptist Memorial Hospital, North Mississippi, in Oxford.  He was born on Monday,  March 30, 1936, in Aurora, Illinois, the son of the late Paul and Beryle Hackathorn.  Mr. Hackathorn was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church and he was retired from Piper Impact.  He enjoyed working crossword puzzles and spending time outdoors.

Survivors include his wife, Bettie Hackathorn of New Albany; two sons, Wayne Hackathorn and wife Penny of New Albany, and Ken Hackathorn also of New Albany; two brothers; one grandson, Ray Hackathorn and wife Liz of Montana; and two great grand sons, Dean Hackathorn and Ben Hackathorn.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P. M., on Friday, August 21, 2020, at Glenfield Memorial Park, in New Albany,  with Reverend Jeff Lawrence officiating.  Interment will take place in Glenfield Memorial Park.
