Debra was born in Chicago, IL on May 25, 1957 to the late Thadis Tarver and Frances Waits Brown. Her green thumb and love of outdoors led her to start Miss D’s Lawn Care Service which she owned and operated for over 20 years. She used her landscape and lawncare talents to stay involved with the community wherever she was called to serve. She was known to speak her mind and rarely minced her words but those who truly understood her heart knew that all she said came from a place of love and true compassion. Her faith in the Lord was an important part of her as a strong and God fearing woman. She loved all animals but especially loved her sweet dog, Bubba and her cat, Sky Kai.
Survivors include her daughter, Roxanne Miller of Oxford; a son, McAllen Ray Holland of Oxford; two sisters, Donna Lane and her husband, Gary of Oxford and Sallie Brown Segrest and her husband, Marcus of Tallassee, AL; four brothers, Chris Tarver of Oxford, David Tarver and his wife, Gina of Oxford, Johnny Brown of Brandon, MS and Trey Brown and his wife, Ashley of Brandon, MS; her step-mother, Voncille Tarver of Oxford; two grandchildren, Tyler Miller and his wife, Leslie of Oxford and Aiden Holland of Oxford and one great-grandchild, Isabella Miller.
