Thurman Langford

1934 – 2021

Thurman L. Langford, 86, of West Point, MS passed away Thursday, February 4, 2021.

Thurman was born February 15, 1934 in Dancy , MS to the late Alfie and Effie Wooten Langford. He was a graduate of Cumberland High School. Thurman was a supervisor at Bryan Foods in West Point for 32 years before retiring in 1986. Known for never slowing down, Thurman embarked in his own auto parts business traveling over Mississippi for 20 years.

His greatest passions were his love for God, family, all of God’s creatures, grooming his yard and fishing.

Thurman is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ella Weese Langford of West Point; his daughter, Rhonda Spruill and her husband Morgan of Nashville, GA; son, Vince Langford and his wife Shawna of Saltillo; granddaughters, Emily Spruill, Emilia Langford; grandsons, Brody Spruill, Carson Langford; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and 3 brothers, A.C. Langford, Charles Langford, and L.W. Langford.

A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
