Frank Lipsey

Mr. Frank Lipsey, 61, transitioned on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.

Frank James Lipsey was born May 27, 1959 in New Albany, MS to the late Hattie Lee Archie and Albert Lipsey. He departed this life February 28, 2021 at North MS Medical Center, Tupelo, MS.

Frank attended school in New Albany, MS and  was employed in the furniture industry as a frame builder.  He enjoyed singing and playing drums with the gospel group the Dawning Lights for several years.

His favorite pastimes were fishing, laughing and telling stories with his family. Frank never met  a stranger.

He leaves to cherish his memories his nine children; Yolanda Harris  and Micheal Berry of Ripley, MS, Miller Boles, Brandon Berry (Patsy), and Rodney Boles all of New Albany, MS, Alvin Turner, Ronda Turner, Frankie Turner and Anthony Turner all of Tupelo, MS, thirty+ grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two brothers; Neovia Lipsey and Alvis Lee Lipsey, three sisters; Mary Montgomery, Evelyn Toney and Queenie Harris, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Hattie and Albert and his son; Kenneth Lipsey.

Services will be held on Sunday, March 14, 2021 at 2p.m., at New Birth Community Church in New Albany. Burial will take place at Mosley Chapel Cemetery in Blue Mountain, MS. Serenity-Simmons Funeral Home of New Albany is in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be on Saturday, March 13, 2021 from 3-5p.m., at Serenity-Simmons Funeral Home Chapel in New Albany.
