Sylvester L. Moody

Mr. Sylvester L. Moody, 63, transitioned on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Methodist Alliance Health Service in Germantown, TN.

SYLVESTER LEE MOODY (Pee Wee) was born November 15, 1957 to the late Sylvester and Rosie Dean Moody; he was also reared by Betty Moody Jones as his mother (living), through both unions 13 children were born.

SYLVESTER  resided in Tunica, MS, until 2006, where he had a host of family and friends. He later moved to Memphis, TN, where he resided until his death.

SYLVESTER is lovingly known for his meekness, sincerity, quietness, and very giving personality.

SYLVESTER never had children of his  own, but loved his nieces and nephews dearly. “Pee Wee” loved all his sibling, but shared a very special bond with his sister,  Bobbie Jean Moody  and brother Clifton  (Classy) Moody who proceeds him in death.

SYLVESTER  leaves  a  legacy of love,  patience, and kindness to:   his mother,   Betty  Moody  Jones;  siblings, Ruby Lee Moody of Chicago, IL, Mary Kay (George)  Walton of  Olive Branch,  MS,  Bobbie Jean Moody of Memphis, TN, Dennis Lee Moody of Water Valley,  Albert Lee Moody, Isaiah (Tonya) Moody, Clifton Moody (preceded him in death), Eddie (Trina) Moody,  Betty (Scott) Gilliom all of Oxford, MS, Marilyn Moody of Tupelo, MS,  and   Patricia (Kerry)  Easley  of   Arlington, TX.

Services will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 11a.m., at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will take place at Harrisonville M.B Church Cemetery in Oxford. Serenity Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be on Saturday, April 17, 2021 from 10a.m., until time of service at the funeral home.
