Quinn Wilson Manuel

December 31, 1969 ~ June 23, 2021

On June 23, 2021, Quinn Wilson Manuel, 72, passed peacefully with family after a struggle with cancer.

Quinn was born in Radford, VA, to her late parents, Peggy and Elwood Wilson and attended Radford University, where she earned her undergraduate and master’s degrees in Education and Psychology.

Married to her late husband, Reverend 0. Wendell Manuel, the former pastor at Trinity Presbyterian Church, in Starkville, MS, for 18 years. Quinn was well known in the Starkville community and positively influenced the lives of many Starkville children, as an elementary school teacher in the Starkville Public School system until her retirement.
Quinn was President of the Green Thumb Garden Club and was active in the Words, Women, and Wine Book club, The Friends of Oktibbeha County Heritage Museum and an Auxiliary at the OCH Regional Medical Center. Quinn loved to share the achievements and adventures of her much beloved grandchildren with her friends. In her later years, Quinn enjoyed traveling with her partner, Bill Davis, and singing and dancing with him at the cotillion club as well as small venues and gatherings.

Quinn is preceded in death by her parents, Peggy and Elwood Wilson and her husband 0. Wendell Manuel.

She is survived by her sons Will Manuel (wife Lisa), Patrick Manuel (wife Karen), Erich Ogle (wife Rachel), and Phil Ogle (wife Heather); and her six grandchildren, Mary Helen Manuel, Jimmy Manuel, William Manuel, Christian Manuel, Ericha Ogle, and Riley Sullivan.

A memorial service will be held at Trinity Presbyterian Church Sunday June 27th at 3:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, Quinn’s family asks that donations be made to Trinity Presbyterian Church in Starkville or the charity of your choice.
