Mr. Danny Lynn Holland, 67, died Friday, September 10, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital North Mississippi in Oxford, MS. There will be a graveside service Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Shiloh Cemetery in Oxford, MS with Rev. Ken White officiating.
Born August 26, 1954, to the late Billy and Peggy Denton Holland, in Quitman County, MS. Danny spent many of his growing up years in the Crowder and Batesville area. He was a retired Locomotive Engineer for the Pioneer Railroad Corporation. A fan of Nascar Racing, Danny was also a huge Ole Miss football fan and especially enjoyed following the football career of Archie Manning. He loved to fish, with a special interest in deep sea fishing. Danny’s family remembers his love for telling jokes. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Pam Holland and Debbie Harwell; and one brother, Chris Brown.
Danny is survived by two daughters, Angie Allen and her husband, Brad of Oxford, MS, and Tammy Smith and her husband, Jay of Batesville, MS; three sisters, Clara Perkins of Batesville, MS, Donna Brown of Jackson, MS, and Cindi Beanblossom of Jackson, MS; one brother, Jeff Brown of Batesville, MS; five grandchildren, Cody Allen (Parker), Melissa Allen, Brittany Houston (Hunter), Katlyn Jones, and Taylor Smith; and one great-grandchild, Paxton Houston.
