Marvin Brose

Celebration of Life service for Marvin W. Brose, 85, are set for 12:00 noon Saturday at Foote Street Church of Christ with Reed Swindle officiating. Burial will follow in the Henry Cemetery. Family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 am to service time at Foote Street Church of Christ.

Marvin died September 28, at his residence in Corinth. He was born January 13, 1936 in Martinsville, OH to the late Clarence Henry and Marjorie Brose. He was a graduate of Martinsville High School. Marvin has been in the new car business since opening up his first Chevrolet dealership in 1977 in Lynchburg, OH, with his wife, Maxine. They moved to Corinth to open Brose Autoplex in 1987, where he worked daily until his retirement in 2017. He enjoyed working in his yard, tractors, and traveling to Florida to his second home.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Maxine; parents; and sisters, Carol Spears and Elma Jean Glass.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Brose; sons, Greg Brose (Peggy) and Grant Brose (Melanie); grandchildren, Michael Brose, Gregory Brose (Betsy), Eric Brose and Graham Brose; 10 great grandchildren; brother in-law, Luke Spears; and sister-in-law, Betty Smith (Gary).

Pallbearers will be James Brake, Dylan Brose, Eric Brose, Kimmy “Yogi” Davis, Alondes “Ronny” Guyton, and Johnny Inman
