Mr. Daniel Dewey Williams, 67, died Friday, February 4, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital – North Mississippi. The funeral will be Monday, February 7, 2022, at 10:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Weber and Rev. David Bledsoe officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, February 6, 2022, from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at Waller Funeral Home. Burial will be in North Oxford Cemetery.

Mr. Williams was born in Rochelle, IL to the late Dewey David and Elsie May Golden Williams. He worked as a security officer at North Mississippi Regional Center. Mr. Williams enjoyed his work with special needs children and found great purpose in his job. Known for his uplifting spirit, he would always offer support and encouragement when needed and knew exactly what to say to someone struggling or having a difficult day. Mr. Williams loved his family more than anything and had many nieces and nephews he looked after as if they were his own grandchildren. Mr. Williams was a devoted husband and had just celebrated his 36th wedding anniversary with his dear wife, Donna. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two nephews, D.J. Shadburn and Jeff Williams.

Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Donna Williams; three sisters, Cynthia Norman and her husband, Mike of Yazoo City, MS, Sue Williams of Birmingham, AL, and Rhoda Kyle and her husband, Mark of Corinth, MS; three sisters-in-law, Linda Cofer and her husband, Carlis of Abbeville, MS, Carolyn Montz and her husband, Dan of Oxford, MS, and Sandra Frye of Oxford, MS; three brothers, Phil Williams and his wife, Margo of Las Vegas, NV, Paul Williams and his wife, Dottie of Plainfield, IL, and Darryl Williams and his wife, Peggy of Moody, AL; as well as 18 nieces and nephews and many great-nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom he loved dearly.
