Mildred Frances Miller Kinard, 77, died Sunday, March 27, 2022 at North Miss. Medical Center in Tupelo after a period of declining health. Born in Crawford, Lowndes County, Miss. on July 22, 1944 to the late William David “Bo” Miller and Sarah Stokes Miller, she grew up there and attended the public schools. She and her late husband, Ted L Kinard, Sr., lived in Starkville all their adult life where they were self employed in the Welding business where she served as Secretary. A Pentecostal and a believer, she was an excellent cook, enjoyed gardening and reading her Bible. Frances had a big servant’s heart, always looking out for the needs of her family and friends above self.

Frances is survived by her son, Ted L. Kinard, Jr. of Starkville; her daughter, Ana Maria Cantrell of Columbus (Mark, deceased); her granddaughter who was her primary caregiver and raised by her, Ashley Kinard Whaley (Hunter, Sr.) of Mantachie; her grandson’s, Stephen Cantrell (Heather), Mark Cantrell (Patricia), Bradley Cantrell and Robby Owens (Jennifer), several grand grandchildren; her siblings, Raymond, Bobby and Billy Miller, Jean Caston, Dean Tennyson and Vernice Warner. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ted, Sr., an infant child and a brother, Earl Miller.
