Margaret Sharon Romary

Margaret Sharon Romary, 90, passed away on May 23, 2022, at her residence in West Point. Margaret was born on September 24, 1931, in Clay County, to the late Ackie and Sally Kate Ward Hatchett. She graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in Education. She was an educator in Texas before moving back to Mississippi to care for her parents. She married Donald Lee "Don" Romary on April 28, 1957, and he preceded her in death on March 15, 2012.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 25, 2022, from 1:00-2:00 P.M. at Calvert Funeral Home in West Point. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 P.M. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ernie Allmond officiating. Burial will follow in the Hatchett Cemetery in West Point. Calvert Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Survivors include a host of cousins.

Pallbearers will be Clyde Logan, PeeWee Ward, Rodney Bridgman, Justin Bridgman, and Lonnie Davidson.

Memorials may be made to LeBonheur Children's Hospital, 848 Adams Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee 38103.

  1. Dear Romary family, one of the saddest things someone can experience is the death of a loved one. Did you know the Bible compares death to sleep? (Psalms 13:3) Just as a person who is asleep is unaware of what is happening around him, the dead are not conscious of anything. There is a promise of hope in the Bible. Our loving God has promised to awaken the dead, as if from sleep, and give them life again. Acts 24:15 says, “There is going to be a resurrection.” The bible offers comfort for those who are grieving and I hope this brings you comfort as well.
