Mr. Robert Winston, 84, transitioned on Sunday, July 17, 2022, New Albany Health and Rehab, New Albany, MS.

Robert Winston, affectionally known as "Bae-Bae" was born on January 2, 1938 to Estell Winston and Elsie Tiggs in West Point, GA. He was the last child born to this union. The Winston family left Georgia and moved to Chicago, IL when Bae-Bae was four years old.

Bae-Bae was preceded in death by his parents: Estell and Elsie Winston, sister, Sara Francis Haynes, brother-in-law, Ozell Haynes, a close cousin, Andrew Billingsly (Baby Jr.), niece, Estelle Winston-Doss and nephew, Troy Winston.

Bae-Bae  was married to Jane Winston. To this union no children were born. He went on to live a wonderful life, one filled with music and his talent for playing piano. This talent afforded him the wonderful opportunity to play with and around some of the musical greats of our time that included; The Flamingo's, Chuck Berry, The Temptations and the musical group The Soul Stirrers, that were legendary singers and musicians with Sam Cooke. Bae-Bae was given the opportunity to sing for his musical group at the infamous Grand Ball Room in Chicago at the age of 19. His hobby was bowling, he played in the bowling leagues in the Chicago area every Wednesday until his health failed him in 2018. Bae-Bae was with his bowling crew. Two of his crew members, Curtis Joplin and Ms. Charlene have faithfully called to check in on him since his move to Mississippi in 2018.

He leaves to cherish his memory his brother Al (Ethel), nieces; Gerri, Amy (Richard), Autumn (Norman) and Tiffany, nephews; Anton, Robert, Jaime and Stacey (Heather), a host of great-nieces and nephews, great-great nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
