Anthony Hardaway, 62, transitioned on Friday, September 16, 2022, at his residence in Olive Branch, MS.
Mr. Anthony “Crap” Hardaway, was born August 19, 1960, to the late Johnnie Hardaway, Sr. and Lula Mae Riley Hardaway in Holly Springs, MS. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, cooking & grilling, sports, his favorite NFL team was the Dallas Cowboys. He was a graduate of Byhalia High School and employed in the construction industry for several years. He was a veteran and served in the U.S. Air Force.
He departed from this earthly home Friday September 16, 2022.
Anthony Hardaway leaves to cherish his loving memories: his dog Blacky, two brothers: Johnnie (Clara Mae) Hardaway Jr., and Michael (Dortha) Hardaway, both of Byhalia, MS, six sisters: Cynthia (Robert) Hardaway Butler of Chicago, IL, Jerline (S.T.) H. Tunstall of Olive Branch, MS, Betty (Winford) Neely of Olive Branch, MS, Brenda (Clevester) Sykes of Byhalia, MS, Gwendolyn (Rodney) Jeffries of Holly Springs, MS, and Felicia (Al-R) Renault of Charlotte, NC a special cousin: Gregory Blair, two special friends: Zell Brown and Dewayne “Toot” Norman, and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends who cared deeply for him.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Johnnie Hardaway, Sr. and Lula Mae Hardaway
Viewing will be Saturday, September 24, 2022, from 11:00 am to 2:00 p.m., at Serenity-Autry Funeral Home Chapel, 140 N. Memphis St., Holly Springs, MS.
Burial will take place ant Pleasant Grove M. B. Church, 228 SA Phillips Drive, Red Banks, MS.
