Betty Bass

A service to celebrate the life of Betty Bass, 89, will be held at 12 noon on Thursday at Memorial Funeral Home with burial to follow in Box Chapel Cemetery. Rev. Stephen Ludlam will officiate the service.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 am until service time.

Mrs. Bass passed away on September 27, 2022 at Cornerstone Health Center. She was born in Corinth, MS on May 30, 1933 to the late Nolan and Blanche Whitehurst. She was a member of Christ Church at Box Chapel. Betty worked for almost 20 years for the Corinth School District as cafeteria manager at South Corinth Middle School. She loved growing and working in her flowers and was a great seamstress.

She is survived by her son, David Bass (Kim) of Corinth; granddaughters, Katie Hill (Les Hughes) and Anna White (Luke); great-grandchildren, Levi Hill, Cooper Hill and Caroline White; and a brother, Billy Whitehurst (Peggy).

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Bass.
