He spent his first few years in Pontotoc but lived most of his life in Lee County.  A 1970 graduate of Tupelo High School, Barry furthered his education receiving a BS Degree in Biology from the University of Mississippi in 1974.  He first was employed doing land title searches but soon gravitated to his life work, home construction, where he put his mark on hundreds of family dwellings in Lee and surrounding areas.
