James Everette Conner

James Everette Conner, 41, died Monday, March 20, 2023, at his home in Water Valley, MS. The funeral will be Thursday, March 23, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with Rev. Virgil Nelson officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 9:00 A.M. Burial will follow in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.

James was born on December 23, 1981, in Water Valley, MS. As a child, he faithfully attended The Primitive Baptist Church. He was the security manager for Rafters on the Square in Oxford. An avid outdoorsman, time spent in nature brought James the most joy. He was a talented fisherman and enjoyed deer hunting. James would process his own deer and always shared the bounty with others. His family was at the center of his life, especially his nieces and nephews, and he took great pride in his role as an uncle. James was preceded in death by his grandparents, William Everette and Myrtle Irene Pryor and James and Edna Pearl Conner.

James is survived by his parents, Barney and Brenda Conner of Oxford, MS; sisters, Christy Ann Cormier and her husband, Shawn of Jacksonville, FL and Amanda Irene Conner of Oxford, MS; brother, Barney Keith Conner, Jr. and his wife, Cassie of Mt. Vernon, WA; nephews, Cody Conner, Jordan Champion, Logan Conner, and Trip Conner; nieces, Sera Conner and Pearlie Conner; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
