Marilyn Mangus

Marilyn Mangus, 80, of Granville, OH, formerly of Corinth, passed away on April 13, 2023. A service to celebrate her life will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday at First Presbyterian Church with burial to follow in Henry Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Home.

Marilyn was born on September 17, 1942, to the late Clarence and Evelyn Lucy Langer. She was a graduate of Ohio University with a Bachelor's degree in journalism. She had multiple careers, including working for the Presque Isle Star Herald newspaper as a reporter in Presque Isle, ME from 1981-1984, the General Motors Acceptance Corporation in Oklahoma City, OK and Bluefield, VA, 1987-1993, and Shawnee State University in Portsmouth, OH, 2001- 2008. She spent most of her remaining years in Corinth, becoming an active member in the First Presbyterian Church.

Marilyn is survived by her husband, Larry, of fifty-eight years; sons, David (Beth) and Michael (Amy); grandchildren, Brian (David), Kathryn (David), Isabel (Michael) and Eleanor (Michael); sister, Carol Kneier (John); and her beloved cat, Mosby.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the First Presbyterian Church’s Memorial Fund.
