Earl Hodum
A Celebration of Life Service for William Earl Hodum, 94, is set for 3:00 pm Wednesday at Memorial Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Shiloh Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 to service time.
Earl died May 8, 2023 at his residence. He was born October 12, 1928 in Alcorn Co. MS to the late Andy and Martha Hodum. He was a logger at an early age and later went to work at Tyrone, from where he retired. He enjoyed fishing, junking, gardening and the outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lyvone Hodum; parents; daughter, Susan Switcher; grandson, Jessie Mitchell; great granddaughter, Shauna Kemp-Hurd; three brothers; and four sisters.
He is survived by his daughters, Pam Weatherford (David), Sandra Inman (Ronnie), Sherry Williams (David); grandchildren, Coby Watson (Daniel), Megan Ashe (Jason Sanders), Taylor Weatherford (Lilee), Tara Kemp, Eric Kemp and Corey Kemp; great grandchildren, Kelly Ashe, Allie Ashe, Faye Watson, Hank Watson, Caden Kemp, Jacob Kemp and Talon Kemp; and a host of other family and friends.
