Frederick “Shelton” Nabors

Frederick LeShelton Nabors better known as “Shelton” was born April 20th 1969 to
the late Adonice Nabors & Willie Fred Nabors. On March 20th 2023, The Lord came
and recruited a true solider in his army from St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS.
Shelton attended Itawamba Agricultural High School until he graduated. He was a
hardworking man and worked at Pettigrew Cabinets, Delta Factory, Super Sagless, JJ
Rogers, Service Masters and then became the owner and operator of Nabors' Floor
Cleaning for over 20 years.
Shelton done lots of volunteer work with Park & Recreation and was currently
volunteering at Precious Hands Daycare.
Shelton confessed his love for Christ at an early age by joining Friendship CME
Church; then as he became an adult he joined White Hill Missionary Baptist Church
where he remained a member until his death.
His memories will forever be cherished by his best friend and loving wife of 23 years
(34 years together), Anita Nabors. Shelton and Anita fell in love and upon their union
two sons were born; Zederick (Kierra) Nabors & Cederick (Misha) Nabors; and he
gained two stepchildren Shekee Staples Mccoy & Roymegis Staples all of Tupelo,
MS.
He also leaves his memories to 6 siblings: 5 sisters: Cheryl Rogers, Joyce (Joe)
Mathis both of Fulton, MS, Beverly (Robert) Nabors of Abbieville, MS, Shari
(Michael) Thomas of Madison, MS , Angela (James) Whitfield of Memphis TN ; 1
brother Kevin (Aretha) Nabors of Tupelo,MS; mother-in-law Juanita Shannon; 4 in-
laws: Terri (Reginald) Howard, David (Shawana) Shannon, Juiade (Vernon) Wren &
Tosha (Billy) Price all of Tupelo, MS; two aunts: Mary (Earnest) Shumpert of Fulton,
MS; Celestine Rogers of Chicago, IL; 1 special son-in-law Robert Mccoy II &
1special daughter-in-law Keanna Staples; 11 grandchildren, 1 great children, a host of
nieces, nephews, and other relatives & friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Adonice Nabors & Willie Fred Nabors; 1
brother Tyrone Rogers, 1 sister Donna Sue Walton, father-in-law L.T. Shannon.
