Patsy Brasher Coleman, 86, of Oakland, MS departed from this life on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at Sardis Community Nursing Home in Sardis, MS. She was born on March 18, 1937, in Calhoun County, MS to the late Howard Brasher and Lura Riley Brasher.
She spent many seasons of her life selling insurance until her retirement. She owned Ponderosa Kennels where she bred and raised puppies, which she loved doing. In her spare time, she could be found working in her flower beds. Patsy was of the Baptist faith. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Patsy leaves behind her son, Michael (Ann) Coleman of Pontotoc, MS; three grandchildren: Mikki (Tommy) Hoff of Oakland, MS; Christen Coleman of Oxford, MS; Cole Coleman of Oxford, MS; three great-grandchildren: Carlie Jane Hoff, Barrett Hoff, and Gavin Coleman.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Howard Brasher and Lura Riley Brasher; two sons: Jesse Mitchell Coleman and Danny Keith Coleman; sister, Lavonia Robuck; brother, John Ingram Brasher.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 29, 2023, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce, MS. The funeral service honoring Patsy's life will take place on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Parker Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Earl Alexander officiating. Christen Coleman, Cole Coleman, Mike Coleman, Artie Hoff, Mikki Hoff, and Tommy Hoff will carry Patsy to rest in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
