Virginia Crabb
A service to celebrate the life of Mary Virginia Crabb, 88, will be held Sunday at 2:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Home with burial to follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 12 noon until service time. Bro. Tommy Leatherwood will officiate the service.
Mrs. Crabb passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. She was born in McNairy County on April 5, 1935 to the late Carl Martindale and Nicie Wallace Martindale. She married the love of her life, Carl Crabb on July 4, 1952 and they enjoyed 67 years of marriage together. She was a faithful member of Butlers Chapel Baptist Church. She loved working jigsaw puzzles, playing Solitaire, and watching Tennessee football. Most of all, before her health declined, she enjoyed cooking Sunday lunch and spending time with her family.
Survivors include a daughter, Carla King (Jeff); sons, Scott Crabb (Nadine), Rick Crabb and Bobby Crabb (Wanda); grandchildren, Crystal Pruitt (Wayne), Caitlyn Austin (Andy), Lori Crabb, Andrea Archer (Monte), Christy Jarnigan (James), Misty Kelley (John), Brandy Helton (Tim), Chris Crabb (Sabrina) and Nicole Wallace; and a host of great and great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Crabb; son Michael Crabb; brothers, Audie Lee Martindale, Sanford Leon Martindale, Wilford Martindale, J.D. Martindale, Troy Martindale, Willie Roy Martindale; sister, Letha Jarrett; and grandchildren, Daniel Crabb, Jason Crabb, Rachel Bench.
Pallbearers will be James Jarnigan, John Kelley, Wayne Pruitt, Chris Crabb, Dylan Crabb, Drake Crabb and honorary pallbearer, Tim Helton.
