Jon Wesley Hardwick

A Celebration of Life Service for Jon Wesley Hardwick, 44, will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Love Joy Baptist Church in Burnsville, MS with interment to follow in Love Joy Cemetery. Bro. Nelson Hight and Bro. David Robbins will officiate the service. Visitation will be Monday, August 7, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Home in Corinth, MS and Tuesday from 1:00 pm until service time at Love Joy Baptist Church.

After a lengthy illness, Jon passed from this life Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS surrounded by his family. He was a 1997 graduate of Alcorn Central High School and a 2011 Graduate of Ole Miss. Jon was an avid Ole Miss sports fan and enjoyed attending Ole Miss sporting events, and especially tailgating with family and friends.

Jon is survived by his parents, Tommy & Peggy Bain Hardwick; a brother, Ken (Alicia) Hardwick; a sister, Rebecca (Jr) Harrison; niece, Whitney (Thomas) Russell; nephews, Jake (Alex) Harrison of Oxford, Josh Harrison of Nashville, TN and his partner, Brandy Moffett of Oxford; Aunt’s and Uncle’s, Gene and Patsy Hardwick, Sandra (Tommy) Odom; aunts, Retha Bain and Sue Bain; and a host of relatives and friends. Jon was also eagerly anticipating the arrival of his great-niece, Palmer Marie Harrison.

Jon was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Henry Lee and Azlee Bain; paternal grandparents, W.E. and Vearl Hardwick; brother, Michael Ray Hardwick; his beloved Golden Retriever, “Rebel”; and his aunts and uncles, Thurston (Louise) Bain, Dorothy Jean (Jack) Woodruff, Billy Bain, Betty (Jim) Harvey, Dale Bain, and Harold Bain.

Pallbearers will be Jr Harrison, Jake Harrison, Josh Harrison, Thomas Russell, Keith Hardwick, and Dale Bain.
