Charlene and her late husband, Rodney, operated a cattle farm in Lafayette County for many years. They both worked together tending to the needs of the farm. Prior to his retirement from Bellsouth, Charlene handled many of the day to day farm responsibilities, while at the same time raising four children. She always considered herself so very blessed in that she was a farm wife, was fortunate to be a stay at home mom, and her greatest blessing was simply being “Mamaw” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was known for providing her delicious homemade pecan and sweet potato pies to her neighbors and church family. Prior to her decline in health, her church family at New Prospect Baptist Church was a significant part of her life. Her faith and family were always a priority. Charlene was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney White; parents, James Curtis and Loree F. Spence; her infant son, Ronald Curtis White; grandson, Kevin Hearnsberger; great-grandson, Lochlan Thomas Ventre; great-great-granddaughter, Ellie Marie Hearnsberger; and sister, Faye Heard.

Charlene is survived by her daughters, Charlotte White of Montgomery, AL and Sherry Black and her husband, Mike, of Oxford, MS; sons, Ronnie White and his wife, Susie, of Brownsville, TN and Jimmie White and his wife, Delisa of Oxford, MS; sister, Brenda Mock of Montgomery, AL; brothers, Thomas Spence of New Albany, MS, Leslie Spence of Oxford, MS, and Arlin Spence of Oxford, MS; five grandchildren, Tim Hearnsberger (Becky), Melissa Crump, Jennifer Ventre (Logan), Stacey Bishop, and Cody White; six great-grandchildren, Drew Hearnsberger, Haley Hearnsberger, Paige Crump, Isabella Bishop, Sophia Bishop, and Michael Ventre; and one great-great-grandchild, Siler Hearnsberger.
