Norman D. Gurley

A service to celebrate the life of Norman D. Gurley, 92, will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday at Memorial Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 12 noon until service time. Bro. Raybon Richardson will officiate the services.

Mr. Gurley passed away on September 6, 2023. He was born on June 12, 1931 in Corinth, MS to the late Will Ed and Mittie Gurley. He was a retired welder pipefitter and a longtime member of Union Baptist Church.

He is survived by his son, Norman Gurley, Jr.; daughter, Peggy Burse (Bill); grandson, Bryan Burse; 3 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Gurley; infant twins; grandson, Steven Burse; daughter-in-law, Terri Gurley; brothers, Joe, Dewey, Freeman, Delphus, Buford; and a sister, Vanice Bowen.
