Robert “Bobby” Hall Duffey, 79, passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at his home. He was born January 22, 1944, in Jackson, TN., to Marshall Truett and Annie Hale Duffey. He graduated from the University of Tennessee and received his master’s degree from Middle Tennessee State University. He was an educator, working for the State of Tennessee and the State of Florida during his teaching career. He was a fan of the University of Tennessee athletics.
There will be no public services. Burial will be in the White Rose Cemetery in Gibson, TN. McNeece-Morris Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Moore Duffey; one son, Robert Curin Duffey of Knoxville, TN; three daughters, Leanne Bolden of Murfreesboro, TN, Marcia Hale Halliday of Columbus, OH, and Stacy Ann Harrison of Milan, TN; two stepchildren, Derrick Nunnally of Tacoma, WA, and Nicholas Nunnally of Ferndale, MI; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Horace Hale Duffey; and his parents.
