Billy Wayne Hardy
Baldwyn- Billy Wayne Hardy,91, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at his residence. Billy was a dairy farmer for many years and had worked for 20 years Lane Industries at Belden. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a member of Jericho Baptist Church for 74 plus years.
Funeral services will be at Jericho Baptist Church on Wednesday, November 01, 2023 at 2:00 p. m. with Bro. Chris McCluskey and Bro. Andy Russell officiating. Burial will be in Jericho Church Cemetery. Waters Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Hazel McGee Hardy; children, Billie Ruth Reed (Phil) and Ricky Hardy (Cindy) all of Baldwyn; brother, James Hardy of Saltillo; grandchildren, Angela Coggin, Baldwyn, Jana Beaty, Baldwyn, Beth Reed, Wetumpka, AL, Kimberly Avent (Jody) Baldwyn, Chris Hardy (Morgan), Baldwyn, Daniel Hardy (Lindsay) Guntown and Stephanie Robbins (Mark) Smithville; great-grandchildren, Lauren Burleson (Spencer) Baldwyn, Emily Coggin, Baldwyn, Mackenzie Holley, Baldwyn, Edie Beaty, Baldwyn, Reed Beaty, Baldwyn, Rylan Hardy, Baldwyn. Maizley Avent, Baldwyn, Maddox Avent, Baldwyn; Nolan Hardy, Baldwyn, Eliza Hardy, Baldwyn and James Marshall Robbins, Smithville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Troy and Lillie Mae Melton Hardy; brother, Ellis Hardy; sisters, Louise Turner and Edith Carlock; granddaughter, Mandy Reed.
Pallbearers will be Jody Avent, Reed Beaty, Spencer Burleson, Chris Hardy, Daniel Hardy and Mark Robbins.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Carr, Dwight Hall, Mickey McGill, Fred Owen, John Pannell, Benny Rakestraw, Wayne Wilhite and Gene Witt.
Visitation will be at Waters Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. and the body will lie in state at Jericho Baptist Church on Wednesday one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to Jericho Baptist Church Cemetery fund.
