Mrs. Marion Lynn “ML” Menne, 68, died Monday, January 1, 2024, at her home in Abbeville, MS. A remembrance service will be held at a later date at Fountain Church in Oxford, MS.
Marion was born on March 6, 1955, in Memphis, TN, to the late Marianne Williams and James Michael Menne. She retired from The University of Mississippi where she worked in the physical plant. She was a member of the Fountain Anglican Church of Oxford. With an open heart for those in need, Marion’s philanthropic and charitable works were many. She gave continuously of herself to others, without ever looking for recognition or anything in return. Active in animal rescue, Marion opened her farm to any animal in need, where she would lovingly tend to them. She was a supporter of the Pregnancy Center in Oxford, donated frequently to Holding Hands Resale Shop, and volunteered annually with Operation Christmas Child through her church. These loving acts of kindness to her community filled Marion’s life with great happiness and joy, touching her own heart just as much as those she helped. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Mike Menne.
Marion is survived by her husband, David Henrickson of Abbeville, MS; son, Michael Madsen of Abbeville, MS; and brother, Miles Menne.
