Gloria Jean Marlin

July 16, 1941 – March 28, 2024

FAWN GROVE – Gloria Jean Marlin embraced her Lord and Savior in the early morning on March 28, 2024. As she was a true and faithful servant, we can only imagine her homecoming.  Gloria was born July 16, 1941, in the small delta town of Gunnison, MS, to Christine and William Campbell. In the summer of 1946, the Campbell family moved to Tupelo where Gloria would attend and play basketball at Tupelo High School. At age 19, she met and married Ralph Marlin in a double wedding with friends Jim and Patsy Brown.  Gloria spent her career as a teacher's assistant in the special education department at Dorsey Attendance Center. She was a member of Fawn Grove Free Will Baptist Church.  Gloria was a devoted wife to Ralph and an active and very present mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and mother-in-law to her children.  They call her blessed.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 30, at the Fawn Grove Community Cemetery with Bro. Terry Booker and Bro. Steve Nichols officiating.  McNeece-Morris Funeral Home of Mantachie is entrusted with the arrangements.
