Ricky Chandler

Rickey DeVaughn Chandler was born on April 1,
1964, to the late Rufus and Carrie Chandler. On April
21, 2024, the Lord called Rickey home to join his
Heavenly Father in peace. He was the fifth of nine
children.
He graduated from Wheeler High School and was
a member of the Wheeler Eagles boys basketball team.
Rickey acknowledged Christ as his Savior and joined
Ruben Chapel CME Church in Baldwyn, MS at an
early age. Rickey was a loving father, brother, uncle,
and friend. He enjoyed spending time with his family
and friends.
Rickey leaves to cherish his memories, two
daughters: Tyrhonda Shinault of Baldwyn, MS and
Takeshia Shinault of Booneville, MS; two
grandchildren: Kelton Tate and Emerie Shinault; one
sister: Tammy Owens (Billy) of Verona, MS; three
brothers: Micheal Chandler (Phyllis) of Baldwyn,
MS, Thomas Chandler (Sophia) of Tupelo, MS and
Tyrone Chandler of Guntown, MS, and a host of
nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Rufus and
Carrie Chandler; three brothers: Charles Wesley
Chandler, Charles Anthony Chandler, and Bobby Lee
Chandler; one sister, Teresa Fryar.
