Robbie Bray Harris

Mrs. Robbie Bray Harris, 89, died Monday, May 20, 2024, at Church Street Manor in Ecru, MS. The funeral will be Thursday, May 23, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with Rev. John Cagle officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 1:00 P.M. Burial will follow the service in Kingdom Cemetery.

Mrs. Harris was born on September 19, 1934, in Como, MS, to the late Robbie Faye Vinson and Clenton Lee Bray, Sr. She was the former owner of Fluff and Fold Laundromat and a member of New Prospect Baptist Church. With a love for the outdoors, Mrs. Harris devoted as much time as possible to tending to her flower gardens each year. She enjoyed getting together with family to play rook, and while she was an otherwise honest woman, she was known for occasionally sneaking a peek at her neighbor’s cards, or signaling her partner with a gentle kick under the table. Mrs. Harris enjoyed time spent in her kitchen preparing delicious tea cakes, her famous chicken and dressing, and no-bake chocolate oatmeal cookies. She found great joy in time spent with her grandchildren, always the first to volunteer to babysit or lend a helping hand. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kyle Dean Harris; her daughter, Myra Lynn Harris; and a brother, Clenton Lee Bray, Jr.

Mrs. Harris is survived by her daughters, Margie Kay Thibodeaux and her husband, Paul, of Stone Mountain, GA and Vicky Harris Johnson and her husband, Mike, of Oxford, MS; son, Roy Dean Harris and his wife, Margie, of Oxford, MS; sisters, Mary Evelyn Tidwell of Oxford, MS and Anita Faye Lewis of Oxford, MS; six grandchildren, Rebecca Moorman, Connie Stewart, Patres Hillis, Jason Thibodeaux, Kimberly Hicks, and Kacy Clay; as well as 12 great-grandchildren.
