Bucky Parker
Saltillo- Walter “Bucky” Parker, 78, passed away on June 05, 2024 at the Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. He was a retired truck driver, active gardener and he enjoyed camping. He was an avid Ole Miss fan and he loved his dogs. Bucky was a member of Hillcrest Church of Christ. He was veteran of the United States Air Force and had served in the Vietnam conflict.
Funeral services will be held at Waters Funeral Home on Saturday, June 08, 2024 at 1:00 p. m. with Bro. Rickey Kimbel and Bro. Steve Driskell officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Wanda Parker of Saltillo; sons, Ricky Underwood of Saltillo and Steve Underwood (Sherri) of Hernando; best friend and cousin, Joe Parker of the Furrs Community; niece and caregiver, Mary Morrison (Tommy) of Baldwyn; (8) grandchildren; (6) great-grandchildren; host of other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Parker; his mother, Mary Parker Grissom; his step-father, Dallas Odell Grissom; sisters, Patsy Parker Sparks, Nita Mann and Wilma Beasley; brother, James Roy Parker.
Pallbearers will be Jason Underwood, Tommy Morrison, Daniel Underwood, Tyler Underwood, Steve Driskell and Kelly Bragwell.
Honorary pallbearers will be Wade Vinson, Danny Titsworth, Joe Barber, Joe Parker, Tommy Mann, Mark Gazaway and the members of Hillcrest Church of Christ.
Visitation will be at Waters Funeral Home on Friday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
