Roger was born on September 26, 1943, to the late Mattie Dee Jordan. A lifelong resident of Lafayette County, he proudly served as Deputy Sheriff for Lafayette County Sheriffs Department. Honest and hardworking, Roger was known for his integrity on the job and willingness to serve in any capacity. A trained pilot, he enjoyed flying as a hobby, and when needed, would assist as a Deputy during search and rescue missions. Roger was a member of Harmontown Baptist Church, where he faithfully attended and was recently elected Deacon. As a member of the National Rifle Association, he was a proud and responsible gun owner, practicing the same diligence and care whether on or off the job. In his free time, Roger loved any activity that kept him outdoors. Together with his church friends, he could spend an entire day riding four wheelers or fishing. After marrying his second wife, Barbara, he was overjoyed to share life with her.
