Eulon Hood
Houston Community- Eulon Hood, 94, passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at the Meadows Nursing Facility in Fulton. He enjoyed working his bird dogs, raising and hunting quail. He was a lifelong farmer and had served on the Farm Service Agriculture Board for over 10 years. He was a member of Ozark Church of Christ and was very instrumental in helping with the planning and construction of Ozark Church of Christ
Funeral services will be held at Waters Funeral Home, Friday, August 16, 2024 @ 11:00 a. m. with Bro. Carl Dunlap and Bro. Tony Brown officiating. Burial will be in Kirkville Cemetery.
He is survived by his daughter, Anita Holland (Lanny) of Houston Community; son, Mitchell Hood (Carolyn) of Houston Community; brothers, Wayne Hood (Betty), Gene Hood (Nellie) and Joyce Hood (Betty) all of the Houston Community; grandchildren, Zack Holland, Kimberly Graham (Shawn) and Lindsey Putman (Scott); great-grandchildren, Briar Graham, Sydney Young, Preston Young, Bella Young and Leah Graham; host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Hettie Taylor Hood; his wife, Thelma Kay Hood, brother, Clinton Hood; and his wife, Doris Hood; sister, Euple Rayburn and her husband, Neal Rayburn; and a grandson, Jamie Hood.
Pallbearers will be David Hood, Greg Hood, Tim Hood, Matthew Hood, Briar Graham and Preston Young.
Honorary pallbearers will be Houston Bird Hunter’s Club, and his roommate at the Meadows, James Boren.
Visitation will be at Waters Funeral Home, Thursday evening from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.
