Wayne Anthony Helms

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Wayne Anthony Helms, who left us on August 20, 2024, at the age of 60 in Dallas, TX.
Wayne was born on February 3, 1964, in Indianola, MS, to Casey Helms and Barbara Kimbrell Helms. He grew up in Mathiston, MS and attended Mathiston High School, graduating in 1982.
Wayne spent nearly 10 years working at Bryan Foods in West Point, MS, before focusing his career on electrical and plumbing. In 2014, he moved to Dallas, TX, with his wife, Alice, where he resided until his death.
Wayne was preceded in death by his father, Casey Helms. He is survived by his wife, Alice Jasper Helms; his two children, Casey Wayne Helms (Megan) of Starkville, MS, and Anthony Morgan Helms (Meg) of Ridgeland, MS; his grandchildren, Allee Belle, Kendall, Patton, Preslie, Whittin Rose, and Walter; his mother, Barbara Bryant, and stepfather, Wayne Bryant; his brothers, Trent Helms (Abby) of Cumberland, MS, Derrell Helms (Marie) of Starkville, MS, and David Helms of Starkville, MS; as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 26 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville, MS with graveside services immediately following at Spring Valley Cemetery.
