Mitchell Wayne Hood
Baldwyn- Mitchell Wayne Hood, 69, passed away on Wednesday, October 02, 2024 at his residence. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and he was an avid farmer for 61 years. Mitchell served on the County FSA Committee and he was the recipient of the Cotton Board Distinguished Service Award. He loved spending time with his family and he was a faithful member of Ozark Church of Christ.
Funeral services will be held at Waters Funeral Home on Saturday, October 05, 2024 @ 11:00 a. m. with Bro. Carl Dunlap and Bro. Tony Brown officiating. Burial will be in the Kirkville Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Carolyn Smith Hood of Baldwyn; daughters, Kimberly Graham (Shawn Guin) and Lindsey Putman (Scott Putman); his world revolved around his grandchildren, Briar Graham, Sydney Young, Preston Young, Bella Claire Young, Leah Graham, Ali Grace Putman and Skylar Guin; sister, Anita Holland (Lanny); nephew, Zack Holland; host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eulon and Thelma Kay Hood; son, Jamie Wayne Hood.
Pallbearers will be David Hood, Greg Hood, Tim Hood, Zack Holland, Joey Hood and Ricky Underwood.
Visitation will be at Waters Funeral Home on Friday evening from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.
