Mooreville – William Wayne Trim, 80, died on Sunday, December 1, 2024, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, MS after an extended illness. He was born on September 1, 1944 in Unity Community, Saltillo, Mississippi to the late Rufus Trim and Annie Phillips Trim of the Unity/Ratliff area in Saltillo, MS.
A graduate of Saltillo High School, Wayne was a very talented man that was gifted with the ability to repair any type of electronics or equipment. People sought his help in repairing automobiles, CB radios, televisions, stereos, lawn mowers, machines and equipment. In 1965, Wayne was employed by Monts Tobacco Company, which later became Monts Paper and Packaging. He also briefly worked at Playcraft in Saltillo, MS. Wayne retired from Monts Paper and Packaging after more than forty five years of dedicated service.
Wayne thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of discovering the solutions for anything that wasn’t working properly. He loved his family very much and would proudly talk about his daughters and grandchildren to anyone that would listen. As a young boy, he attended a local Methodist Church with his parents. Later in life, he was one of the founding members of Center Star Methodist Church in Mantachie, MS.
Services will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Waters Funeral Home in Baldwyn with Pastors Ben and Sharon Brown officiating. Burial will be at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Mantachie, MS.
Survivors include his two daughters, Donna Trim Kingsley (Robby) of Mooreville; Lisa Trim Hill (Nathan) of Tallahassee, FL; two grandchildren, Joe Kingsley (Megan) of Mooreville and Jordan Kingsley Smith (Bobby) of Mooreville; and seven great-grandchildren.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus and Annie Trim of Saltillo, MS.
Pallbearers will be Joe Kingsley, Bobby Smith, Tremaine (Tree) Frison, and Lee Hulsey. Honorary Pallbearers will be his great grandchildren: Payton McLarty, Libby Kingsley, Callie Smith, Allie Smith, Levi Kingsley, Maggie Smith, and Liam Haas.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 3, 2024.
