FULTON – Ola Ann Kyle Nichols, 83, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2024, at her home in the Dorsey community. She was born May 10, 1941, in Itawamba County to Hershel Charles and Charlene Umfress Kyle. She was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church. She and her husband were foster parents to several children over the years. She was lovingly called Mama Ann by her grandchildren and most other children she came in contact with.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 18, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Bobby Jarrell officiating. Burial will be in the Keyes Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband of almost 57 years, Jerry M. Nichols; one daughter, Donna Edwards of Dorsey; one son, Donnie Dean of Golden; two sisters, Wilma Tucker and Judy Webb; six grandchildren, Derek Edwards (Jennifer), Dane Edwards (Sidney), Donnavon Edwards (Savannah), Brandon Edwards (Jessica), Chris Dean, and Brittany Lawrence (Ryan); and six great-grandchildren, Nathaniel Edwards, Carlie Lawrence, Cadee Lawrence, Kennadee Lawrence, Colton Edwards, and Annalease Edwards.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Barbara Tackett and Linda Douglas.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 17, and from noon until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
