Kirkville- Barbara Ann Stanford Hill, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, February 03, 2025 at NMMC Hospice Unit surrounded by her loving family. Barbara was born June 15, 1941. She and her husband, Billy Joe married when he was 16, she was 12 and were married for 63 years till his passing in 2016. Barbara was known as Bubba, Maw, Mother and Grandmother by her children and grands who loved her dearly. She enjoyed it when people would question if she and her oldest daughter were sisters, being just 14 years apart in life. Her best times were spent being with her family. During her life she worked at factories, babysat, Ozark Grocery and finished her working career at Dogwood in Saltillo; Barbara attended Shiloh Community Church, when her health declined, she watched the service in her phone every Sunday.

Barbara is survived her children, Debbie Wooldridge (Michael) Counce, TN, David Hill (Rebecca) Unity, Donna Lindsey (Frankie) Ozark, Deedee Hawkes (Greg) Guntown, Dwight Hill, Mantachie, Derrick Hill (Elizabeth), Water Valley; twenty-three grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mavis Stanford; husband, Billy Joe Hill; brother, Jimmy Nash Stanford; son-in-law, Mike Wilburn.

Visitation will be at Shiloh Community Church, Mantachie, Wednesday, February 5th, 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p. m.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 a. m. on Thursday, February 6th Unity Baptist Church Cemetery, Guntown, MS. Waters Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Drew Wooldridge, Dr. Mac Nichols, Jordan Hill, Scott Ryan, Andy Wilburn, Michael Stanton, Brian Boatner, Treyton Hill, Brett Hawkes, Brandon Hawkes, Jason Love and Geoffery Frazier.

Honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters, Kaysley Hill, Bridget Garret, Joli Nichols, Jessica Ryan, Mandy Stanton and Emily Boatner.

The family would like to express their heart-felt gratitude to the staff of fifth floor hospice NMMC.
