Mallie Phillips Fitzgerald
Baldwyn- Mallie Phillips Fitzgerald, 74, born February 06, 1951 passed away at her home on February 17, 2025. She had her own business, Mallie’s Golden Needle in late 1970’s till mid 1980’s. She started working in Frames by Fitzgerald at the Tupelo location until closing in 1994. She then started working in the New Albany location til closing in 2006. Later she was the researcher-historian for Mississippi’s last Stands Interpretive Center until retirement.
Mallie married Harry Fitzgerald on Nov.20, 1982. She enjoyed Harry’s cars and riding on the back of his motorcycles and driving her MG-B Sportscar. She also loved her dogs and spoiled them rotten. She was a lifelong Associate Reformed Presbyterian.
She is survived by her husband, Harry Fitzgerald; sister and brother-in-law, Paula and Mike Douell; niece, Jackie Douell; nephew, Mike Douell and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bonnie and Emma Phillips and her parents-in-laws, Hugh and Pauline “Polly” Fitzgerald.
Her life celebration will be Saturday, March 01, 2025 @ 2:00 p. m. at Bethany ARP Church, Visitation will be at the church from 1:00 – 2;00 p.m. prior to the service.
