Misha Jordan, age 67, passed away at her home in Oxford, Mississippi, on August 16, 2025, due to complications from pneumonia and heart disease. Born on March 22,1958, in Lubbock, TX, Misha was the daughter of Walter and Nancy Terrell Jordan.
Misha dedicated much of her professional life in human resources, working in Nevada, California, and Texas. At the age of 45, her life was profoundly changed by a major car accident. With resilience, she shifted her career path and worked in document filing and as a detoxification therapist in Fredericksburg and Mason, TX. Following her retirement, she relocated to Oxford, MS, where she found new ways to connect with her community and family.
She is survived by her two sons, Jeremy Lee Estes and wife, Brittany Rose-Estes, of San Antonio, TX and Adam Jordan Estes of Oxford, MS, and brother, Paul Fritz Jordan of Houston, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Laura Haralson.
Misha will be remembered for her fierce love, generosity of spirit and her joy in life’s simple pleasures. She cherished holiday gatherings with family and friends, loved watching tv shows and football, and had a special devotion to caring for animals. In Oxford, Misha found deep fulfillment in supporting her son Adam’s work with the saxophone students at The University of Mississippi and the educational initiatives of his professional chamber ensemble, the Assembly Quartet. She played a vital role in fostering a sense of community for these students and the Assembly Quartet by co-hosting social and musical events and attending countless performances to show her support. Her commitment to supporting and uplifting others to pursue their artistic and educational goals, particularly young people, was one of Misha’s greatest passions.
To honor Misha’s memory, memorial donations may be made to your local animal shelter or to the Assembly Quartet, a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization, to help support their educational initiatives. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Mason, TX to celebrate her life.
