Donna Kay Lautenbach Dunaway

Mantachie, Mississippi

Donna Kay Lautenbach Dunaway, 68, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, December 13, 2025, surrounded by the love of her devoted husband and children. Born on June 18, 1957, in Greenville, Mississippi, she was the daughter of Fred and Hilda Cole Lautenbach.

Donna was a woman of deep faith, creativity, and compassion. She found joy in sewing, arts and crafts, woodworking, and caring for animals—often rescuing those in need. To those who knew her best, she was lovingly known as a believer, a prayer warrior, a devoted wife, a loving mother and grandmother, and a loyal friend. Her family and friends remember her as loving, hardworking, talented, selfless, creative, resourceful, and resilient.

A faithful servant of God, Donna lived her life anchored in her Evangelical Christian faith. While she loved all the bible, she was particularly fond of, Psalm 103, as it reflected the gratitude and praise that shaped her walk with the Lord. While her presence here will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing she had full assurance of God’s love and the peace of her eternal hope in Heaven.

Funeral services will be held at Waters Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with burial to follow at Prentiss Memorial Garden Cemetery.

Donna is survived by her beloved husband, Darrell Dunaway; her children, Cole Wilkinson; Tiffany Grey Whitley (Adam Whitley); Hannah Robinson (Will Robinson); Asher Wilkinson; Justus Wilkinson; Eli Wilkinson (Martine Wilkinson); and Isaiah Wilkinson. She also leaves behind seven cherished grandchildren: Cayden Smith, Rylie Robinson, Everett Zachary, Amelia Zachary, Annabelle Brown, Josiah Wilkinson, and Mia Robinson. She is further survived by her siblings, Terri Anderson and Dennis “Tuke” Lautenbach, along with a host of extended family members and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Hilda Lautenbach, and her sister, Christi Lautenbach Smith.

Visitation will be held at Waters Funeral Home on Monday, December 15, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., and again on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m.
